ABOUT HARVEST IN THE SQUARE

Harvest in the Square is Manhattan’s premier food and wine tasting event. Over 1,250 foodies and Friends of Union Square Park joined the Union Square Partnership on Thursday, September 20th for a night of food, music, and fun on the park's North Plaza.  Harvest in the Square has become a highly-anticipated New York City tradition and a delicious way to raise money for Union Square Park,” said USP Executive Director Jennifer Falk. "I want to thank all of our sponsors, partners and guests for making this the most successful and best tasting Harvest ever." Harvest 2007 featured something for everyone, from haute cuisine to comfort food, fine wines to marshmallow milkshakes. Guests savored Greenmarket Chicken Roulade from Tocqueville Restaurant and T-Bone Steaks from Knickerbocker Bar & Grill, and flocked to the Max Brenner Chocolate by the Bald Man table for liquid chocolate - and that's just scratching the surface! Guests enjoyed delicious food prepared by fifty of the area’s hottest chefs, a global selection of wines, music from The Nashville Attitude, and cooking demonstrations from TV personality and Robert Mondavi Private Selection spokesperson Ted Allen.

Harvest in the Square is presented by the Union Square Partnership, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, and proceeds benefit the organization's ongoing beautification and maintenance efforts in Union Square Park. The twelfth annual event was the most successful to date, raising $180,000 for the Partnership's park improvement projects.
