Blizzard Watch in Effect for New York City

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Blizzard Warning for New York City starting Tuesday, March 14th at midnight until Wednesday, March 15th at midnight.

This system is forecast to bring heavy snow and blizzard conditions, including winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 55 mph on Tuesday, creating slick and hazardous travel conditions. Total snow accumulation is expected to be between 12 to 20 inches.

Union Square Partnership’s Snow Clearing Operations The USP Clean Team will be out on the streets to supplement the City's clearing efforts. We complement property owners efforts by clearing snow from crosswalks, catch basins, and around fire hydrants. We ask that our businesses and property owners remain vigilant and work with us to clear in front of their properties so that the Union Square district remains safe and accessible. Transit Information

Public Transit Depending on the severity of weather, regular subway service may be affected. Read the MTA's Cold Weather Plan.

Alternate Side Parking Alternate Side Parking is suspended on Tuesday, March 14th and Wednesday, March 15th. Parking meters will remain in effect. Check nyc.gov for all official announcements.

Citi Bike Service The Citi Bike system may temporarily close due to weather, and the amount of snow and changing weather conditions will determine when it is safe to resume operations. Stay tuned to Citi Bike's Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
