The Vineyard Theatre is welcoming a new show to its stage this month. From five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman, legendary composer and four-time Tony Award winner John Jander, and Tony Award-nominated playwrite David Thompson comes a stunningly original new work, fusing dance, drama, and music.

"The Beast in the Jungle" tells the story of John Marcher, a man haunted by personal demons, whose great yet unfulfilled love affair spans decades and continents. A waltz-inspired instrumental score and dazzling choreography that traverses the world of contemporary dance and ballet accompanies this powerful and romantic tale adapted from Henry James' classic 1903 novella.

This dazzling show is part of the company's 35th Anniversary Season. "The Beast in the Jungle" features Teagle F. Bougere, former American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Irina Dvorovenko, and Tony Award nominees Peter Friedman and Tony Yazbeck. The award-winning design team includes scenic and costume design by Michael Curry, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Peter Hylenski, wig design by David Bova, music arrangements by Sam Davis, orchestrations by Greg Anthony Rassen and Sam Davis, and music supervision by David Loud.

Tickets for the show are now on sale. Performances begin on May 23rd and run through June 17th. Book your tickets now!
