How we fund our work
Union Square Partnership is among the many amazing Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in New York City. BID programs and services are funded by a special assessment billed to property owners within a district. The City of New York assists with collecting the special assessment, which is distributed directly to the BID. The BID receives 100% of the money collected.
Why we fundraise
On average, assessments make up 75% of BID budgets. Most BIDs also fundraise, apply for grants, and generate revenue from programs to support their services.
Why you should donate
Your financial support sustains programs enhancing Union Square Park, public plazas, and the surrounding neighborhood. Funds raised contribute to beautification projects, expanded seating areas, volunteer initiatives, and diverse community events such as fitness classes, children's entertainment, and music.
