Celebrate #USQART - Public Art Guide

#USQArt is an incredible opportunity to bring engaging artwork to Union Square. Exhibitions are presented by the Union Square Partnership in collaboration with NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program and NYC Department of Transportation’s Art Program in collaboration with selected galleries and artists.

 

Community opinion survey

To improve quality-of-life and better serve the Union Square neighborhood, the Union Square Partnership (USP) conducts annual Community Opinion Surveys. The survey includes topics such as district services, public investments, community programming, marketing and communications, and neighborhood amenities.

 

pedestrian activity report

Every two-years, the Union Square Partnership conducts a comprehensive study on pedestrian activity surrounding Union Square Park. To provide an accurate picture and gain a complete account of how many people move through Union Square, the data gathered from USP's study is combined with transit turnstile information for the 14th Street – Union Square station. 

 

WASTE CHARACTERIZATION REPORT

The Union Square Partnership teamed with Columbia University’s Earth Institute in 2018 to complete a waste characterization study of public waste in the Union Square-14th Street community. The full report provides an analysis of waste disposed of in the district’s public spaces, research on best practices deployed by other cities and institutions, and opportunities to reduce waste and improve recycling in the public realm.

The Union Square Partnership is made up of two 501(c)3 organizations that work together to support, improve and advocate on behalf of the 14th Street-Union Square district. The Union Square Partnership, DMA is also known as a Business Improvement District, and the Union Square Partnership, Inc. as a Local Development Corporation.
